50plus initially evolved from a relationship between Matrix which is a well respected construction and project services company, owned and operated by Peter Burt and John Davies for 17 years and Halcyon who is a developer and owner operator of quality retirement type communities. The owners of Halcyon are Bevin Geissmann and Paul Melville, they have developed and are continually developing a great product for active retirees in an ever
growing market.
Halcyon was introduced to Matrix after experiencing numerous difficulties with the delivery of their projects. Six weeks after the initial meeting a partnership was established and work commenced at the Halcyon Parks site in Caloundra. From these humble beginnings it soon became evident there was a huge demand for the delivery of retirement living and aged care projects to support the tide of Australia's ageing population. The shareholders agreed that this was a great opportunity to take advantage of this demand and so agreed to grow the business by targeting work over and above that we do for Halcyon.
We are developing a name, reputation and respect in the industry for the quality of our projects and it is our intention for 50plus to be the Market Leader in the delivery of projects for the retirement living and aged care industries.
